Florence Bank Promotes Stephen Bourgeois to Manager of Downtown Branch in Northampton
Florence Bank is pleased to announce that Stephen Bourgeois has been promoted to manager of the Bank’s Downtown branch in Northampton. He replaces Vice President and Branch Manager Cynthia Malinowski, who retired in May.
Bourgeois joined the Florence Bank in 2012 as a senior teller. He has also served as a Customer Service Representative in the Amherst branch, and as Assistant Branch Manager in the Belchertown and Hadley branches.
Bourgeois has 13 years of experience in the banking industry and is skilled in customer service, teamwork, communication, problem-solving and employee development. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and serves as Treasurer and Chair of the Grant Committee for the Belchertown Education Foundation.
In his new role, Bourgeois is responsible for leadership and team development, decision-making, community engagement, and mortgage lending. “I’m really excited to get to know our customers in Northampton and become involved in the downtown community,” he said. “Community banking isn’t just about checking and savings accounts; it’s about being a part of the community we work in and supporting our neighbors.”
“We appreciate Stephen’s commitment and dedication to our customers, and we are proud to see him continue to grow as a bank leader,” said Matt Garrity, President and CEO of Florence Bank. “We look forward to seeing him lead our Downtown branch to great success.”
