Florence Bank and its Team Members Donate $45,500 to the United Way of the Franklin and Hampshire Region
Florence Bank recently announced a gift of $45,500 to the United Way of the Franklin and Hampshire Region. Florence Bank provided direct support of $25,000 and its team members pledged an additional $20,500 as part of the bank’s annual workplace campaign.
“The need in the community is real, and supporting our neighbors is integral to Florence Bank’s mission, vision and values,” said Matt Garrity, president and CEO of Florence Bank. “Our team members stepped up again this year and showed how much they care about helping their fellow neighbors. I’m humbled by their generosity and proud of their dedication to help those less fortunate.”
United Way recently kicked off its 2026-2027 campaign on October 8, 2026, with impact priorities focusing on community health and social connectedness; youth opportunity and mental health; and food and economic security.
“We’re thrilled by the continued investment that Florence Bank and its employees make in our community,” said Geoff Naunheim, president and CEO of United Way. “Times continue to be tough for many of our neighbors, but through philanthropy like this, we can make sure that families across Franklin and Hampshire Counties have somewhere to turn. Florence Bank shows what it looks like when a local business treats its community’s wellbeing as its own.”
In addition to financial support, Florence Bank team members donate their time and talents to the United Way. Ryan Hess, chief commercial banking / senior vice president, serves on the Board of Directors; Jenna Rahilly, chief human resources and strategy officer / senior vice president, sits on the Community Investment Committee; Chris Szol, operational servicing manager / vice president, volunteers for a number of important initiatives; and Kim Baker, commercial loan operations and compliance specialist / vice president, helped found Ski United.
